How can search (ie. filter) or mark (eg. in bold) issues with unread comments or other changes?

Gustavo Oliveira September 4, 2015

When viewing the list of JIRA issues (eg. in the filter grid), sometimes it is easy not to notice that there was a change (an edit) or a comment in a certain issue.

It would be great if there was an option to flag the issue (or to mark it in bold etc.) so that I can easily spot that an issue has been changed/updated/commented on etc.

Is there a way to do that?

Not with the current functionality. You can only watch the issues to be notified of the changes.

You will need to write a plugin to achieve something like what you are asking.

And there's an inherent problem with the idea. Yes, "highlight what has changed", that's fine, but you need to think about "since when". And that's a horrid can of worms which will give you a headache.
