Hello,
I'd like to clean up unused filters in Jira Cloud which aren't associated to any Boards, Dashboards or Gadgets. And I don't see any filter option or column which says Filter X is active or inactive, which makes life difficult for me. At first glance I've deleted filters from inactive users, but there still could potentially be more clean up to be done.
What is the best way, if any, to do so?
Thanks,
Oliver
https://yoursitename.atlassian.net/secure/admin/filters/ViewSharedFilters.jspa gives you the overview of created filters, their owner and whether the filter is shared.
Unfortunately, it doesn't give information on whether the filter is still relevant.
In Server/DC, Integrity Check for Jira (also part of Configuration Manager for Jira) gives you a nice overview of filters, boards and dashboards with errors, but this app is not available for Cloud.
Cleaning up private filters of inactive users was also the first thing I did. Please note that boards may use those filters and may not function afterwards. So maybe first check the boards.
Thanks for your response @Dave Mathijs
The link which you've shared was the one where I've cleaned up the filters from inactive users. With those I didn't have to worry about still being in boards, because they we're created when we've launched Jira and were just Test Filters.

Hi!
For cleanup filters, groups, user, data management, Jira administration and much more I would recommend to give a try to our app. Which was designed as comprehensive tool for Jira administrators like you.
