There are no grouping functions in JQL.

You can either see the count result

  • in the output screen of the filter (top or bottom of page)
  • on a dashboard gadget
  • through the rest-service call (attribute "total")
  • count your resultset (such as table-macro in confluence)
  • use an add-on.
