How can I massively update stories I have oreviously uploaded from a file ?

Nicolas Dalmont January 5, 2017

I am working for a client who chose to work with Mantis bugtracker to store his backlog (his choice).

For my team and for agility, I am periodically extracting stories from Mantis and uploading it into JIRA through the import facility. I know there is a Mantis plugin but I can't use it as I cannot make the 2 system communicating properly.

So, I import stories, and the stories live their life in Mantis. But there is no mass update facility in JIRA, as far as I know. No way to import a new file embedding existing stories so that I could update the stories and not only create it.

Any suggestion ?

Try either

  1. Bulk edit, from the issue navigator
  2. importing CSV with a column for the "issue key", filled with the issue IDs you want to update
