How can I import files from external system into JIRA Service Desk?

I am currently importing data into JIRA Service Desk. My originating system is Topdesk. I know how to import data. But how can I import associating files that are connected to original Topdesk issues into JIRA issues?

That can be tricky to do when migrating data from another issue tracker.   What method are you using to import this data?  Are you using a CSV import to make this work?

If you already used a CSV, then this method would be easier to accomplish.  There is a guide on the site on how you can create a CSV file to reference specific attachment files that can then be imported into JIRA.  Please see How to import attachment using CSV

The trick is finding a way to determine which files belong to which issues in the old tracker, and then making sure that the CSV file has the correct entry for where that file exists on the file system, and which issue it should appear on.
