I have a single project that I need a group of external users not to be able to view the activity section for both the project dash board and the individual issues.
I believe that this is not possible by way of Jira Administration but I hope there might be an easy enough change in the back end. I guess this might however affect all projects?
Many thanks in advance
Mark
Hello. Thank you for your response, it is appriciated.
Unfortunately, im not sure this helps with my query. Im not concerned with the main dashboards/custom dashboards but with the project dashboards and individual issues.
The following question does mention a work around by editing vm script in the back end but i guess this is not supported and would required editing of the vm file every time a new project is added etc..
https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/31276/can-we-disable-activity-stream-on-a-certain-project
As Owen mentioned in the ticket, the more usful part of this is to lock the change down to a specific user group and on issues themselves.
Many thanks
Mark
Hi Mark in fact this is possible configuring the Dashboard that this group of users will use:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+the+Default+Dashboard
You can use the Default Dashboard or create a new one for them and share it:
