I am on a disconnected jira server, no outbound internet. I can not get into Applications in the settings because I think its trying to reach out to the Atlassian market place so the page just times out. Is there a way I can disable Jira from trying to reach out?
Thanks!
I have not tried this @Eddie Newman @Dan Long , but take a look at this article and see if the solution suggested there helps.

I have. The steps outlined there are the checkbox and the -Dupm.pac.disable=true parameter. Neither worked for me, hence, the question w/r/t SQL or file method.

@Eddie Newman Did you resolve this? We are running into the same issue.
@Trudy Claspill Do you know if there is a field in the SQL DB or file where the "Uncheck the Connect to the Atlassian Marketplace checkbox" is saved? So we manually edit the settings so that it doesn't try?
When we try to access the Applications page; the browser spins until we get an 504 Gateway Error from nginx (reverse proxy). We get the same error when we try to access the Managed Apps page.
I have tried to disabled the UPM plugin (-Dupm.pac.disable=true) but that disables all the plugins from loading and the Application page still errors out.

Hello @Eddie Newman
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Are you getting an error message trying to access the page?
Have you used the Developer Tools of the browser to review the network traffic for error messages, if nothing is coming up on the screen?

Hi. The page will eventually load. It is timing out because Jira is trying to reach out to the atlassian marketplace.
Is there a way to disable Jira from trying to reach out to the Atlassian marketplace? This server is deployed with no www outbound in a locked down environment.
I just want to disable Jira from trying to reach the public Atlassian Marketplace, so we do not have to wait forever for the >settings > Applications and Settings > Manage Apps pages to load
