How can I create a space template using a page that has been previously created? Edited

During an excersise I created a page for our own team retrospective. We refined and tested this and we see it works. Now i want to make it into a template. I have already seen from here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Can-you-create-a-page-and-then-save-it-as-a-global-template-in/qaq-p/417251 that you cannot do this easily, but surely there is a way to copy the content from my confluence page into a new template without manually re-implementing all of the boxes text etc? Is there a way to do this?

Hi Ben,

did you try a simple Copy & Paste from the Edit mode of your Confluence page?
