How can I add a custom field value in all Jira outgoing mails for a specific project?

Abhrajit Sarkar June 5, 2014

I have a number of projects in Jira. For a partidular project, I need a mail configuration which should include two custom field values in all notification emails. Is it possible?

Generally if a field value is changed in the even, it appears in the mail. But I want these field values in the mail even if they are not chnged.

Note that I have created these custom fields for specific issue types and for specific project only.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Abhrajit,

You will need to customize your email template to achieve that or find a plugin that allows you to send custom notifications.

You can read more in below documentation:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Customizing+Email+Content

https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JIRADEV/Adding%20Custom%20Fields%20to%20Email

and vote for this feature:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-4619

I hope that will help

Hi Abhrajit,

You can add custom fields to email message using our addon https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/net.vacom.jirassimo/server/overview
