How are average velocities calculated for the Version Report

When working with multiple scrum teams on a software version how is the average velocity calculated?  If story point estimation varies widely across the teams is there any way to account for this?

Hi Tom,

Here is some documentation that you may want to check out:  https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Velocity

Hi Justin, thanks for the link.

I was wondering how things are done when you have multiple scrum teams working on the same project.  The story point estimates vary considerably among the teams so how are velocity averages calculated in this situation?
