Hiding fields once updated

If I create a new field which will now replace previous fields, is it possible to hide this field so it can't be used going forwards without deleting it and all the data that has already been entered in it?

Hi Hannah,

You could hide the field using a field configuration scheme.

Take a look here for more info :

Hi Peter

I want to hide it from future issues but where it is already in use for other issues I want the data to still show. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks

Hannah

Hi Hannah,

You could try adding the old field to the Issue View screen, and only this screen.

If it has a value it should show up when you open an issue, but it will be not editable.

Best regards,

Peter
