Hide "assigned to me" tickets from specific projects

Is there a way to hide tickets from one specific project in a user's "assigned to me" widget/dashboard? We would still like the users to find the tickets via search, but they don't need to be displayed as work to be completed. 

This is for asset management, so the ticket will be in a "Deployed" (To Do or In Progress) state for a majority of it's life. Closing tickets would fix the problem, but the resolved (Done) asset tickets are for items that have been "Retired", "Disposed", or "Lost". 

If the entire project needs to be hidden then so be it, it's just not our ideal scenario.

Tyler, I believe the "Assigned to me" gadget only displays Unresolved issues. Hence, you can try setting a resolution to "Deployed" on issues that have been Deployed. You an also automate setting the Resolution using workflow post-functions.
