Hide issues in team-managed project for a role

Dave L. June 15, 2021

I'm looking to migrate to Jira Cloud. We're opening up access to 3rd parties to a team-managed project but we need to restrict their access to only certain issues. Is there a way in team-managed projects to restrict a role's access to issues based on a JQL query? E.g. based on a custom field, label, etc?

@Dave L. - out of the box this isn't possible.

Team-Managed Projects don't support issue level security at this time.

@Dave Liao thanks, what about company-managed projects? Any guidance on how to enact this? Thanks

@Dave L. - configure an issue security scheme! They're pretty flexible (you don't have to rely on roles alone), and may be applied to multiple Jira projects.
