Help Icons on Issue Collectors

Barry Britnell July 7, 2013

We are using a JIRA Issue Collector on a public, web-based application. When the screen comes up to collect the issue information from the user, it displays all of the "local help" icons for the issue parameters (priority, issue type, etc). Unfortunately, nearly all of our users will not be logged into our instance of JIRA at the same time they will be using that form. So, when they click on the icon, it takes them to a page that says that they are not logged in. Of course, this causes confusion because the are logged into our application, but they are not logged into our instance of JIRA (and never will be).

Is there away to disable those icons?

Thanks.

Hi Barry, Currently, JIRA do not have the ability to disable the help icon on Issue Collectors yet. However, we've keep track the improvement request in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-30885. I recommend to cast a vote on it and add yourself in the watch list to keep you updated in future. Thanks. JC
