Groovy script not working after uninstalling/disabling Adaptavist ScriptRunner for JIRA

I installed Adaptavist ScriptRunner for JIRA to evaluate it, but after uninstalling/disabling  it ,my groovy script in a workfllow validator wont work. It throws this error 

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.onresolve.jira.groovy.GroovyValidator

This script was working before I installed the script runner, I think JIRA is still referring to the Adaptavists jar location. How do I clean this up  ?

You need to ensure a valid version of the add-on is installed and active.  The error you are getting is a simple "cannot find something the add-on provides" error.
