Greenhopper: Subtask time should be subtracted from parent task?

JanG November 1, 2012

Hello,

during our Sprint Planing 2 phase we usually add several sub-tasks to a story/task in the current sprint.

Is is possible that the time we estimate for the sub-tasks is getting subtracted from its parent task, so that the time for the sprint does not increase if we add sub-tasks?

Just for clarification: I first add several sub-tasks to a task, and will some minutes later add time estimations to them. Can those time estimations be subtracted from the parent task?

This is not possible. If you pull up the task/story in the planning/rapid board you will see what the total estimate for all the tasks are. Is it possible that some of the tasks have got orphaned/unlinked to the sprint?
