I'm trying to implement internal and external projects, and I was trying to understand the difference between global and project permissions.
Under Global Users -> JIRA Users, it says "All users need this permission to log in to JIRA, even if they have other permissions." The way I interpret this, is that all users from the internal AND external project need to be included here.
Does this mean Project Permissions will take precidence over Global permissions? So if only a subset of "JIRA Users" is in Permission Schemes -> Browse Projects, they are the only ones that can browse the project and issues, and not all JIRA Users.
Thanks!
Your understanding is right. Project Permissions will take precidence over Global permissions.
