Global read only permission for anonymous user in Jira

Jasmeet Bakshi April 11, 2016

There are quite a few users who would like to access JIRA  / JIRA ajile in read only mode globally for all projects.

Instead of adding indivdual users for a project  for read only mode , how can we allow it globally .

In your project permission scheme, update the "Browse Project" permission and add "Anyone". Be aware of the consequences though (read https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-18076)

Just to explicitly answer the bit Gabrielle implied rather than stated - there's no "global" read only.  You need to amend all your permission schemes to allow it.
