Getting the following error while publishing workflow : you cannot change the association between step '33' and status 'in progress'.

How to solve it?

Try to delete the status in the workflow and add it again. If that does not work, please, give us more context: What changes did you make from the original workflow to the updated version that bring you that error?

Thank you Daniel.

I deleted all existing statuses and created them afresh. In spite of that, i am getting this error.

you cannot change the association between step '33' and status 'in progress'.

Don't know what is meant by Step 33, any idea?

It refers to the the Step id of the Workflow:

thank you for your help with this.

After separating workflow for the issue type, i am able to publish the workflow without any errors. Earlier, all the 13 issues types were using the same workflow that i was editing. Maybe other issue types were conflicting with my changes.

Maybe other dependencies were in conflict (e.g. 3d party plugins/apps).
