Java Melody puts about 5-10% overhead on your system. The information is valuable but is not always the cleanest or queryable.

If you have some extra money, can afford the system overhead and want finer grain reporting on information you can track in Java Melody give http://newrelic.com/a look.

Excellent reporting and data visulization.

Hey,

I can't report any negative effects using the GC feature. I used it in production environments and it worked well.

Cheers
