GIT and JIRA linking

I have a JIRA installed and it contains so many issues. For the source code we have GIT for version control. Wanted to know how to link the JIRA and GIT , as they both are in different servers ? The document is not clear , i am running a trial version and if this works we will go for this plugin. Request to support on this

There are many JIRA add ons in the marketplace that will link JIRA to Git (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?application=jira&category=&cost=&hosting=&marketingLabel=&q=git).

Else, you can get Stash also allows integration (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/STASH/JIRA+integration).
