Freeze/Lock a Project in JIRA

Is there a easy way to freeze or lock a project and display a banner or notification for it?

Or is it rather we should just remove user permissions to that project?

Hi,

if a project has ended, we are disabling all user permissions, adjust a "dummy project admin", move them to a workflow-scheme for closed projects and adjust a "closed projects" category.

But maybe there's a better way to handle closed projects. I'm interesting to hear, how other people handle that.

Cheers

Thomas

Ok - So you have a permissions scheme and workflow for closed projects that essentially dissallow any modification. Then remove all user permissions save an sudo-admin account.

Team,

This documentation on archiving a project might be useful in such case.

Cheers,

Diallo,
