Hi Richard,
What site are you going to to login to your instance? Regardless of whether it's Cloud or Server you should be sent to the System Dashboard when you go to the URL.
If it's a Cloud instance you may be routed to id.atlassian.com, however, it appears you're being routed to the main atlassian.com page for some reason so knowing the URL that you're going to should help determine why this occurs.
