I'm looking at how we can use 'Fix versions' a bit more efficiently...
Our releaseable software is made up for a handful of other products, we're using fix versions for the products that make up our main release, and can see all the tickets linked to a specific version which is good.
We'd like to be able to do a similar thing for the releasable softwareversion, which will be created from the products 'below' it....
Is there some functionailty in JIRA that will let us do this? So ideally, when we have a parent software release, we can see all the versions of the other products that it pulls in, and the tickets that are associated with each of these.
I'm hping once we have this, we can use this to create release notes for the main software release.
I'm fairly new to JIRA, so not 100% up on my terminology, so please let me know if anything requires further clarification.
