Hello
I have created a timeline view in Plans and grouped the issues by Goal.
Some initiatives and epics might be linked to multiple goals, i.e. Company level goal and Team level goal.
In my case I want to show in the Timeline only the Company goals and related initiatives or epic. To do so I went to Filters and selected only the Company Goal I want to see. Nevertheless if the initiative is linked to multiple goals, I see all the other goals as well although they are filtered out.
How can solve this issue? It seems kind of a bug to me.

Thanks
Welcome to the community!
Yes I can see this happening and it might be frustrating, but this how it currently works. The filtering functionality is not trumping the grouping functionality.
You filter the scope based on being part of goal A. If an Epic is a part of two goals the filtering will not "mute" the grouping capability for goal B so you will see both goals represented in the view.
I suggest you put in a improvement suggestion to Atlassian, I think many users expect the same result as you when they filter.
All the best
Lisa
Thank you Lisa. I have submitted a suggestion. Do you know if it is panned to improve this with the migration of Atlas into Jira which I think it is planned for October?

One can only guess... ;-) but based on experience there will be more features coming.
