If you are looking to export the issues belonging to a specific project, by far the easiest and most thorough way is to:

  1. Go to the Issue Navigator (top navigation Issues > Search for Issues)
  2. Select your desired project from the Project dropdown filter in Basic mode (else, in the Advanced JQL mode, enter "project = <your project's name>"
    1. Alternatively, if you are in your project, click Issues from the left navigation, change this list filter from Open Issues to All Issues, and then you can click View All Issues and Filters link above and to the right of this list.
  3. Once you get all of your issues, click the Export menu button above and to the right of this issue list and select the Excel (All Fields) option. This is just one type of export.
  4. Download the Excel file that is prompted to save/open.
