Exception during re-indexing

During the xml backup (from Jira 3.3.x to 4.4.1) restoration process I am getting the following exception. The error occurs when the re-indexing process starts. I deleted indexes in cache folder, but still the same error. Also I am not able to login to my local jira instance. I get the same error on the web page. Appreciate help!

Have a look at this and see if it helps to resolve your problem

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Lucene+Index+Crashed+with+%27Unknown+format+version%27+Error

another one to look out for is to exclude this directory from your virus scanner if you are working in windows, it messes up things too

Thanks parthis. I will try your suggestion and let you know.
