Error to connect to repository

Status: Inactive (svn: E175002: OPTIONS of '/svn/xxxx': 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable (http://xxx.ertexample.com) svn: E175002: OPTIONS request failed on '/svn/xxxx')

The following error is shown when I am trying to add new repositories. There are other repositories which are working fine. What can be the possible reason for this error.

Hi there!

Since it works for some repositories but not other I suggest you to investigate if the proxy/firewall is blocking the access. If possible, try bypassing the proxy and check if it works than.
