We have setup Jira to handle emails and create/comment jira issues.
Everything is working fine when we email to our catchemail (xor-ace@schange.com). But we also wanted for Jira to create/update issues from email from Salesforce system. Salesforce sends updates to catchemail with appropriate issue ID but for some reason JIRA Email Handler prompts error and unable to update the issue.
An error was encountered whilst handling messages from the mail server
XACE using the handler class com.atlassian.jira.service.util.handler.CreateOrCommentHandler.
The error was:
------------------------
Forwarding email with bulk delivery type.
------------------------
I went to the logs and I got: Cannot create attachment without a filename - inline content? See http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-10825
I went through:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-18156
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-10825
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-12534
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/__setting_mail.mime.decodeparameters
But does not seem to help. We already have 'mail-1.4.4' and we are already running Jira 4.4.4. Please see what causes the error. Thanks in advance!
JIRA treats email with a bulk header as spam and will action on the piece of mail depending on how you set JIRA to handle bulk messages. One way to deal with these is may to forward bulk emails to a specific place then create the tickets manually.
