Erroneous results in issue search - any idea?

Rumceisz March 5, 2015

Hi Everyone,

we have a weird topic. There is a user who runs a specific query and after a couple of time the result is 0. However the query results more than 1500 issues for everybody else. We checked and the user has the proper rights to see the issues. We created an other user with exactly the same rights and the query results issues for this test user.

The colleague also erased the browser cache and the problem still exists.

We have run out of ideas.

Could you please help? It's really a weird error.

Thanks,

Rumi

Hey Rumi, I'm not sure what might be causing this problem, but here are some bits of information that may help to narrow things down: * is this user seeing any error messages when the problem occurs, or is it simply that the JQL search starts to produce 0 results? * can the problem be readily reproduced by the affected user? ** if so, are you able to reproduce the problem while using JIRA 'Safe Mode'? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/UPM/Disabling+and+enabling+add-ons#Disablingandenablingadd-ons-Disablingorenablingalladd-ons%28usingSafeMode%29 * do any errors appear in the {{JIRA-HOME/log/atlassian-jira.log}} files when the problem occurs? * have you identified a way in which the affected user is able to see the correct results again, after the problem has occurred? In other words, can you temporarily fix/workaround the problem? Lasty, what version of JIRA are you using?
