Is there a mechanism in JIRA Service Desk (cloud version) to require approval from a third party (i.e. a button or flag that a collaborator could click to allow the a request process to proceed)? We are implementing a workflow for purchase requests and would like to be able to include a manager/supervisor in to a ticket to approve/deny each request.

Hi Aaron,
we have done this by adding another status to the workflow called "Approval". When transitioning to this status, we assign it to the appropriate manager/supervisor. That person clicks the 'Approved' transition, enters a comment and the issue goes into next status "Purchase".
You could set a condition to get out of this status, e.g. a check box 'Approved'.
