Enabling Wiki markup on JIRA 7 announcmment banner

Shirley Jhirad January 2, 2017

Hi All,

I want to use the announmcent banner to display a link to a confluence page i have.

as you can see below my URL is not shown as a hyperlink:

I tried using different wiki markups  (like [URL] )but anything i use dosent affect the banner display.

Do i have to enable anything special for it to work? In my cloud instance it seems OK . but in my local JIRA 7 server it fails.

Hope someone can advise.

Thanks

Shirley

Hi @Shirley Jhirad ,

in order to do that you need to use <a> href tag in the announcement banner (https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_a.asp)

Hope this helps,

Fabio

You have to use html on server, as it says in the description.
