We're looking into Asset Management in combination with Service Desk. Existing Addons don't provide what we need.
When creating a ticket, I would like to select a user from a searchable field, and then have the users profile be read (from an issue type "User" or external db -> nfeed?) and displayed.
Is there a way to display fields from one issue inside another one? Maybe as a section like "People"?
The same mechanism would be helpful for Asset Management also!
I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have.

What you're asking for is not currently possible with JIRA Service Desk. Please create a feature request here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD
We use suggestions and the number of votes they receive when deciding which features to include in future releases.
