Email notifications versus portal notifications

I cannot find a way to disable notifications for tickets that are sent to JIRA service desk by email and keep notifications for tickets that are logged through the portal. Can you please assist me in this issue?

Hi Rabih,

There isn't anyway to achieve this by default. Basically, JIRA reads an email and performs an action based on it, and this action will be the same as if the action was executed through the UI so JIRA cannot actually differ one from the other. sad
