Email a specific address when commenting a certain type of issues

Dear all,

When users create a certain type of issue, an email is sent to a mailing list. This is done using script runner in the workflow.

We would like to do the same when people comment on this issue type. However, this is not a workflow event.

How should we do ?

To be noted that the mailing list is not a user of JIRA and thus can't be added as a watcher (afaik).

Hi there,

you could use the scipt listeners.

You can configure it to cath the "issue commented" event and send an email for specific issue type and project.
