We have our JIRA setup for both internal and external user access. Internal users access our JIRA through a http:// address, while any external user has to use https:// address.

All email notifications sent from JIRA use the http:// address in the link. Therefore when our external users receive said notifications the links provided are useless to them, as it is considered a broken link to them.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Change your base url to https. As Jacques said all users will start getting mails with https including internal.

The easiest way is to have your internal users also use the https:// address. Is there any reason why they don't?

I've left it with our system admins to make a decision if they want to move internal to the https, as currently they don't need it as we aren't outside the firewall.
