Not really. The built-in email "handlers" all do "create or comment", but no other updates.
For updates, you need to find or write a handler that can parse incoming mail for update instructions and edit the issue.
As always in this case, I'd strongly recommend a look a the JEMH, as that does almost everything you could want to do with incoming email
