Edit in word for Jira attachements?

Hi,

I have a customer that would like to attach a word doc to a Jira and be able to edit it easily without having to download, edit and reattach.

Is this possible? Any plugins that can do this?

Hi Johan,

Currently it isn't possible to edit a word document inside JIRA without having to perform the steps you've mentioned. There is a possibility of this being viable in Confluence, but not in JIRA so far.

Also, I couldn't find any documents, plugins or improvement requests to do this inside JIRA, so in case you want to, feel free to raise an improvement request under jira.atlassian.com regarding to this matter.

I will ask the user to choose between creating a Confluence page with the document or doing a file:/// link in the Jira (yes I know some browsers will dislike that).
