Duty calendar and auto assign to the person on duty?

Mai Sun December 19, 2012

Hi,

Is there anyway in Jira to have a "duty calendar" where every developer can register date for which they'd like to monitor the common support mailbox? It would be even better if Jira can assign the ticket automatially to the person who is on duty. Thank you!

The only way I can think of getting this to work (and keep in mind that I'm not the smartest or most creative person) is to script up something that reads a google calendar or something for a person's username, then use the xml/rpc api to change the project lead to that person. Assuming the thing is set up to make the project lead the assignee, that would get what you want no?

Don't believe you can do it from REST API yet.

A minor addition. Instead of changing the projet lead, a post function can be added to the worklow that creates the issue to fetch the iCal of the google calendar an decide the assignee (using Script Runner)
