Dummy Scripts for Script Running

We are evaluating Script Runner to automate our few tasks, but we are not able to fetch few values, like we are not able to get JIRA-KEY like DTS-123 in variable from POST FUNCTION SCRIPTS that we need to pass on in some REST API ... Also, we are not able to put comments on JIRA in post function using solution available on Adaptivist Site or other areas.

Can Someone help us with scripts or documentation for below tasks ... using script runner plugin as post function ...

1. put comments in JIRA

2. Issue transition

3. fetch value from custom fields

4. assignee user to jira

I am majorly looking for an example to call rest-api url using groovy and need to pass JSON with the same, but some how not able to close this ... and trying to setup reportor as assignee ...
