Doubling of status names and issue priorities

Nicholas TenBrink June 6, 2012

So I have this weird issue in JIRA after upgrading to v5.0.6 from v4.3.3 and it resides around having the names of of statuses and issue priorities are doubled.

For example; when I pull up a project, select the Issues tab, when i look at 'Unresolved: By Priority' it will state:

"High High"

"Normal Normal"

"Minor Minor"

The same thing happens in the 'Status Summary'. A similar issue is happeneing on the Project Summary page also.

I am stumped, has anyone else had this issue and or knows how to resolve it?

Image attached to best explain what I am seeing.

I think your icons are broken/unreachable. The web-app is replacing them with the alternate text or title because it can't display them.

Why they're broken, I can't say. Check your logs, make sure the ownership of all the web-app files are correct, and see if you can hit icons directly in a browser. Check the mappings in the status/priority screens too.

Well good news and bad news.

Turns out that it is a browser rendering issue in Firefox v13.0 (tested this in Win7 and OSX).

Chrome renders everything fine.
