Does the 7-21-21 JIRA security advisory affect Bitbucket?

Hi, we use Bitbucket v 5.0.1 for source control, but we are no longer using JIRA for bug tracking.

Our JIRA versions are JIRA Software 7.6.1 and JIRA Core 7.6.1.  When I login to JIRA, it shows this alert:  "JIRA version 7.6.x has reached End of Life. Please upgrade JIRA to a supported version." 

We also received the email alert on 7-21-21 from Atlassian Security, about the vulnerability in JIRA Data Center, JIRA Service Management Data Center, JIRA Software Data Center and JIRA Core Data Center.

My question is, since we are only using Bitbucket now (haven't used JIRA since 2019), do we need to still do the JIRA upgrade?  In other words, does Bitbucket use the JIRA database?  Sorry for my ignorance on how JIRA and Bitbucket work together. It's been so long since we used JIRA, and I can't find the answer in their documentation.  Thank you!  Tracy Schriver

Answering my own question here.  We shut down JIRA and confirmed Bitbucket is still working. Yay!
