Does anyone have experience with Jira on Xen virtualization?

On https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Running+JIRA+in+a+Virtualised+Environment only VMWare is mentioned - currently we have some major performance issues on a Jira installation running under Xen. As the installation is quite small I am quite surprised about this (we are getting loads above 60 when reindexing).

So, has anyone experienced that too, or are there only good experiences with Xen virtualization?

Thanks for sharing your information,
Thomas

I managed JIRA at XenSource many years ago, and we used Xen there. If the problem is load during reindexing make sure the indexes are stored on some disk as close as possible to the VM. NAS for indexes will make them slow.
