Does LDAP support multiple Group DNs?

Vernon Lingley May 20, 2015

We have Active Directory synced up with our JIRA server. We want to include a second OU to our list of additional group DNs. However when we enter in the following:

OU=Company Groups,OU=Company Mailing Lists

we get errors matching the OUs to the list of groups. Are multiple groups not supported? If they are, are they not on a comma separated list?

Hi Vernon,

The additional group dn field only allows a single group to be defined. Here's a feature request for adding multiple groups.

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-41591

Until this functionality is added the best way to handle this scenario would be to define a higher dn that contains all the the objects you want to sync, and then leverage the ldap filter functionality to reduce the scope of the user synchronization. More on this can be found in the following article.
