Does Jira allow CSV imports for time tracking?

M W February 20, 2013

Hello!

I know you can use CSV imports in Jira to mass-create issues. However, I want to also attach logged time to the Jira issue as well. Is that possible through CSV import?

Atlassian Support recommended that I post this quetsion to the community as they have no documentation on it. Thank you!

Yes, it is possible. Just add a "Time Spent" column to your CSV and ensure the value you add is in seconds. :)

(BTW also works with fields such as Original and Remaining Estimates, again just add columns and enter values as seconds.)

Hello,

Not sure whether you are referring to time spent, but this feature is currently listed on the documentation:

Do let me know if I have miss-understood you.
