@jacob

Yes this can be added as a condition to the workflow but you will need a plugin.

This can not be achieved with Jira out of the box.

Not advertising for any Atlassian Vendor but this kind of request can be achieved with ScriptRunner.

You are more than welcome to check the Marketplace for a plugin that fits your needs.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Best,

Fadoua

Thanks Fadoua. we will try with ScriptRunner.

Hi @jacob ,

you need ScriptRunner plugin for Jira (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/6820/scriptrunner-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview ) to achieve this requirement. In particular, you need to put in place a specific behaviour that, based on your condition, make that field required on that transition.

Here a complete guide https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/4.3.9/jira/behaviours-overview.html

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Thanks Fabio. we will try with ScriptRunner.

Hi @jacob ,

As already mentioned this is not possible out of the box.

If you're looking for a solution beyond scripting, make sure to check out the workflow apps available on the Atlassian  Marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?category=Workflow&product=jira

Cheers
Thorsten.
