Display JIRA log in page to anonymous users

Greg Wenden March 6, 2014

We have moved our Jira installation to a public server but do not want to display any information unless a user is logged in. Basically I would like the same functionality as the OnDemand Jira where you have to log in before seeing anything.

For now I have deleted all gadgets from the System Dashboard and ensured no projects allow anonymous users to browse them. But this produces an ugly front page to the site and will require all users to set a new default dashboard.

I found the answer, I added the code provided by Yilin MO to the Announcement Banner as written here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/110230/how-to-change-default-login-page

I think what I want is for the default homepage to be /login.jsp rather than /secure/Dashboard.jspa
