Display JIRA issue numbers in @mention emails

Cheryl Childs [Dreamsmiths] March 8, 2015

Hi

I need to display the issue number in ALL EMAILS sent from JIRA and currently emails sent out when a user is mentioned in a comment are not including the issue number - the subject line shows "[JIRA] username mentioned you (JIRA)".

Can anybody help here, please?

Thanks,

Cheryl

At this moment, the only way to change this would be with customisation in JIRA's mail templates. Which won't be possible on JIRA Cloud.

Having said that, the issue number is displayed in the body of the e-mail.

Hi Pedro Thanks, not what I wanted to hear but nothing we can do about it now. It does show the issue number in the body of the email, but this isn't helpful when the recipient has multiple emails with the same subject line all from different issues. It becomes very hard to keep track of what needs to be done, etc, at a glance. Is there an idea in the future to enable this functionality for Cloud? Thanks, Cheryl
