I'm evaluate this plugin and get 30-Days Trial License from Atlassian Marketplace.

I'm new to discovery and I think it's documentation is not good enough for someone like me who need to evaluate this plugin. Is this a known issue and I can continue Try-Error method in evaluating this plugin? Could you help me?

I think the license key for insight plugin on jira plugin page and discovery application is the same. I copy license from "Discovery License Key" page under "Insight Discovery" section in JIRA administration / Addons and It works.

Hi @Ansar Rezaei

This will be long after your trial has expired and I suspect the issue may be fixed.

Your error message seems very similar to the below.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/insight-discovery-license-fails-with-cannot-decrytp-text-on-windows-1041078883.html

The user running Discovery.exe appears to not have enough permissions to run the decryption algorithm for the insight license.

I would do two things.

run discover.exe -s

look in eventvwr.exe for security policy violations.

rerun discover.exe as the "jira user" as this user should have enough permissions to access Jira.

If that is not enough permissions, try as the admin account.

This will confirm that it is a permissions issue. Eventvwr.exe is your friend which will tell you which permissions are needed.
