Disabling the threaded comments add-on

Gabor Kiss April 7, 2015

JIRA Threaded Comments add-on is incompatible with our JIRA instance and as there is no update for it, we would like to disable the plugin. We are not sure what is the expected behaviour of the system after this change and we are worried that some of the comments might get lost during the process. Are our concerns well-founded or may we proceed disabling the add-on without any data loss?

Hi, Gabor.

According to the plugins page in Marketplace disabling it:  "JIRA reverts to the same old single level view of comments if you remove the add-on. Nothing is lost" .

So, it should be OK.

Kind regards,

No problem, Gabor. If that answered your question, you can accept this as an answer and other users will know it has an answer. Kind regards, Jaime Kirch da Silveira Atlassian Cloud Support

Ok, sure. By the way, what does the Atlassian label "INCOMPATIBLE" means here? Just because despite of that, the add-on seems to be working well. We are considering to turn it off only as we have some issues with our mail handler and have no idea what causes it (most probably not the threaded comments add-on). Our JIRA version is 6.3.8.
